Being parent is a great blessing of God. The joy and enjoyment parents experience is second to none. However this blessing comes with great responsibility too. Kids are required to be protected from all kinds of accidents and mishaps as much as possible. Reason being, if God-forbid something happens to the kids, parents have to pass through extreme stress.
If you are still reading this article, most likely you are a parent. Below are some of the tips through
which you can overcome (or reduce) the probability of accidents or mishaps at home
2- Keep medicines away from your kids. Recently a friend of mine had to take his daughter to hospital in emergency as she ate 10+ tablets from the shelf. Although the hospital washed her stomach but my friend had to sign a bond for taking full ownership in case any unforeseen situation happens during hospital's procedures.
3- Don't put chairs or sofas near windows, especially if you are living in flats. We have read so many news about kids death falling from windows.
4- Consider windows/doors closing brackets. If you have IKEA in your area, buy one from there.

5- If you have sharp edged dining or lounge tables, consider rubber based edge protectors. (Visit IKEA)

6- Kids always want to copy their mothers. Keep the fire match or lighter away from the stove. If your kid has seen you burning the match, he is most likely going to try that when you are absent which may lead to big disasters.
7- Keep the knives, scissors and other sharp edge cutlery away from the reach of kids. Again, kids are innocent, they want to repeat what they see their mothers do.
8- Cleaning agents (floor cleaners, crockery cleaners, toilet antiseptics etc) must be out of reach too. Be sure to close the bottles tightly. Toddlers have the tendency of putting everything in mouth.
9- Do not buy small toys even if your kids are grown up. There is always a chance of mistake that he may swallow any piece.
